19 September 2014 Oban Camanachd U14 and Kilmallie U14 were the winners at the youth cup finals at the Bught Park Inverness on Saturday 13 September 2014.
2014 MacMaster Cup Final Oban Camanachd U14 beat Skye Camanachd U14 3-1, in a repeat of last year’s final, to retain the MacMaster Cup. Daniel MacCuish put Oban ahead on 15 minutes after Skye had failed to clear their lines. Daniel MacCuish got his second with a great strike on 48 minutes. Ruairidh MacLeod turned quickly and shot high into the net to give Skye hope on 54 minutes. However there was to be no come-back as Pat MacLean put the ball into the top corner of the net just 4 minutes later to restore Oban Camanachd’s two goal advantage. Skye tried hard to reduce the deficit but the Oban side saw out the remainder of the game to run out 3-1 winners.
2014 Scottish Hydro Development Cup Final Meantime Kilmallie U14 were Scottish Hydro Development Cup Final winners as they defeated Inveraray U14 5-1 on the Bught Park outside pitch. Inveraray took the lead after 13 minutes when Ben Cameron scored in this 9-a-side tournament. However the lead lasted just 3 minutes when Kilmallie’s Iain MacIntyre equalised. A Cam Clark double on 24 and 31 minutes put the Canal Parks side 3-1 to the good. Iain MacIntyre got his second on 44 minutes and a 56 minute Cam Ross strike rounded off the 5-1 triumph. |
