01 September 2023 Newtonmore under-14s are proving to be the team to beat this season as they secured an impressive 6-1 win over Skye Camanachd under-14 in their Mowi Under-14 North of Scotland – Phase 2 (League 1) clash at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Friday 1 September 2023. These sides will meet in the MacMaster Cup final at the Bught Park, Inverness ahead of the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup final and the young Newtonmore players laid a marker in this 6pm throw. A good-sized crowd braved the midges as Newtonmore edged a competitive first half, extending their advantage in the second period. At the final count, full forward James Coyle scored four times whilst buckshee forward Joe Coyle and strike partner Josh Stewart got the others. Seth MacDonald scored for Skye at 1-1 and the Islanders had their spells in the game.
