Glasgow Mid Argyll 0 Skye Camanachd 3 | |
13 August 2023 Skye Camanachd put a three-point distance between themselves and the relegation zone when they beat Glasgow Mid Argyll 3-0 in their Mowi Premiership encounter at Peterson Park on Saturday 12 August 2023. Skye travelled with a full squad for this 1.30pm throw up, and they took the lead on 11 minutes when a cross from the right was met by William MacKinnon, running towards the ball, and he scored with a first-time hit. Skye manager Kenny MacLeod said: “We’re delighted to get what was a convincing win. We dominated the whole game but the scoreline was modest due to some good saves and wasteful finishing. Glasgow has never been an easy place for us over the years, so the two points are all that matter.” Glasgow Mid Argyll from: Jonathan Oates: Craig Anderson, Jamie MacLeod, Zac Menzies, Cailean MacLeod: Arran Byrne, Finlay MacMillan, John McNulty: Calum McLay, James MacLeod, Cameron McCue, John Sweeney: subs Milo Menzies, Rory MacDiarmid, Garry Luke Skye Camanachd from: Murphy Henderson: James Morrison, Martin Pringle, Sam Macphee, John Gillies (captain): Ross Nicolson, Neil MacVicar, Ally “Cleodi” MacLeod: Ross MacKinnon, Ross Gordon, Jordan Murchison, William MacKinnon: subs James Pringle, Kenny Cushnie, Jamie Gillies, Iain MacLellan Match Referee – David Mitchell |
