27 August 2014 Fort William face Kyles Athletic in the 2014 Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup Final at the Eilan on Saturday 30 August 2014.
Fort William have only had to play two ties on their route to the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup Final. Saturday 5 April 2014 Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup – First Round Fort William received a bye in the first round of the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup.
Saturday 10 May 2014 Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup – Second Round Fort William 5 Kinlochshiel 0 Fort William ran out 5-0 winners against Kinlochshiel in their noon throw up at An Aird. Early goals from Ryan Campbell on 6 minutes and Graham Campbell just 3 minutes later put the Fort two goals to the good. Graham Campbell got his second 5 minutes before the break to make it 3-0. Ryan Campbell also notched a double with a strike 4 minutes after the restart and a Scott Knox effort on 81 minutes completed the 5-0 triumph.
Saturday 7 June 2014 Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup - Quarter Final Lochbroom v Fort William W/O Lochbroom were scheduled to meet Fort William in a 2pm throw up at Inverlael. However the pitch was deemed unplayable so the tie was reversed to An Aird. Lochbroom were unable to make the trip so Fort William were given a free passage into the semi-finals.
Saturday 2 August 2014 Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup - Semi Final Beauly 2 Fort William 3 Fort William reached the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup Final with a narrow 3-2 win over Beauly at the Bught Park. Beauly decided to play against a strong wind in the first half and this was a decision they could have later regretted as Fort William took an early control of proceedings. Fort William made their pressure pay when Scott Knox put them ahead after just 10 minutes. Beauly’s Kyle MacDonald was by far the busier of the two keepers and the visitors had a goal ruled out for offside before Ryan Campbell collected a cross from the right, midway through the half, before scoring from just outside the D. Beauly’s woes worsened when buckshee back Dougie Blaine had to leave the field with what appeared to be a recurrence of a knee problem. However Beauly finished the half strongly and Fort keeper Ricky Fraser did well to save an outrageous Robbie Brindle effort before Jamie MacLennan pulled a goal back to make it 2-1 on 41 minutes. Beauly had the elements in their favour from the beginning of the second half and they took the initiative. Robbie Brindle made it 2-2 when he ended a good move by slotting the ball home. It was now anybody’s game but with Beauly unable to capitalise on a period of pressure, it was Fort William who went back in front on 68 minutes when the excellent Scott Knox got his second goal of the afternoon to make it 3-2. Fort William keeper Ricky Fraser made another fine save – this time with his foot – to deny Robbie Brindle but despite throwing on substitutes Neil Brindle and Stephen MacLean, Beauly could not get back on level terms once more and Fort William saw out the rest of the match to win a place in the final. John MacGregor was the match referee.
